Double the Fun: Kabir & Rohan's 1st Birthday Cake Smash Session in Missouri City, TX


There’s something truly magical about celebrating a baby’s first birthday—but when it’s two babies? Double the cake, double the mess, and definitely double the joy! I recently had the absolute pleasure of hosting twin brothers Kabir and Rohan in my Missouri City studio for their very first birthday cake smash session, and let’s just say… they did not hold back!


From the moment they arrived, Kabir and Rohan were all smiles and curiosity. Their cake smash theme was simple and classic—white and blue with soft, clean backdrops that really let their sweet personalities shine. Sometimes less is more, and in this case, the minimalist setup perfectly complemented the chaos that was about to unfold!


As soon as the cakes were placed in front of them, the boys dove right in. Frosting flew, hands were covered, and cheeks were quickly smeared with blue and white icing. Each twin had his own approach: one was more cautious at first, testing the waters with a few pokes, while the other wasted no time in face-planting right into the cake! (No names—I'll let you guess who was who.)

What I love most about cake smash sessions is capturing those pure, unfiltered moments of joy. There’s nothing quite like watching little ones explore texture, taste, and freedom in a way that’s new and exciting for them—and hysterical for us. Kabir and Rohan were no exception. They were playful, curious, and completely in their element.


By the end of the session, the boys were gloriously messy (as they should be!), and the studio floor was covered in cake crumbs and giggles. It was the kind of session that reminds me why I love what I do—documenting milestones that families will treasure forever.


To Kabir and Rohan: Happy 1st Birthday! May your lives be filled with as much joy, laughter, and cake as your big day in the studio.
